Job summary

Action Facilities Management in New York, NY is seeking a Design and Construction Project Engineer/ Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager on office buildouts and related mechanical upgrades. You will assist in budgeting, scheduling, site management, and coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within scope.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Industrial preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering design or construction.
Proficient in reviewing and commenting on Design Intent Drawings, As Built Drawings, and some cost estimating experience.
Experience with AutoCAD, SAP, and MS Office.
Knowledge of the building process and construction principles and codes.

Responsibilities

Manage major/minor project and alteration services.
Coordinate commissioning, design services, and implementation for complex construction projects.
Act as back-up to the Project Manager when off-site.
Conduct site inspections and cross-functional team meetings.
Prepare budgets, analyze costs, and manage project data and reports.
Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders; report progress to clients.
