Job summary

Horrocks in Spokane, WA seeks a Design-Build Structures Lead/Manager for our Innovative Pursuits Team to drive transportation structures design and project delivery. You will lead and mentor engineers, coordinate with discipline leads, and ensure high-quality outcomes on local and Rocky Mountain Region projects.

Ideal candidates bring a PE license and 10+ years in transportation structures, plus 5+ years of leadership for infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Current PE license; preferred states UT, NV, AZ, ID, CO, NM, WA.
• 10+ years of experience in transportation structures design.
• 5+ years leading structural design teams for infrastructure projects.
• 3+ years of DOT DB or PDB experience.
• Strong teamwork and client relations skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural discipline engineering teams for Transportation on DB/PDB pursuits and projects.
• Coordinate with other discipline leads.
• Integral member of the project management and delivery team.
• Lead structural design, analysis, studies, reports, plans, specifications, and quantity tasks.
• Knowledge of standard bridge industry software.
• Work effectively as a team leader and maintain client relationships.
• Be assigned to local and Rocky Mountain Region wide projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients, staff, and management.
• Meet project deadlines.
• Grow personally and professionally with each project to support client goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural discipline engineering teams for Transportation (freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural highways, and shared use facilities) on DB and/or PDB pursuits and projects
• Coordinate with other discipline leads
• Integral member of the project management and delivery team
• Lead structural design, analysis, studies, reports, plans, specifications, and quantity tasks.
• Knowledge and experience with standard bridge industry software
• Work effectively as a team leader in a group environment and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients
• Ability and commitment to be assigned to local and Rocky Mountain Region wide projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff, and management
• Proven history of meeting project deadlines
• A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client's overall project goals

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
