Job summary

McFarland Construction is seeking a Project Manager to lead several commercial projects in Charlotte, NC. This design/build PM role oversees preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Strong leadership, field and office execution, and collaboration with owners, subs, and vendors are essential. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in commercial PM, experience with design/build, and proficiency in Procore and MS Project.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction.
Design/build experience preferred.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and scheduling tools (Procore, MS Project).

Responsibilities

Lead full project lifecycle from preconstruction to closeout to ensure safety, schedule, and budget goals.
Develop and monitor budgets, review costs, and manage owner contracts, bonds, fees, and reporting.
Coordinate with preconstruction, owners, subs, and suppliers to meet project milestones.
Plan construction operations and schedules to meet deadlines; ensure site safety and compliance.
Review contract documents and communicate requirements to project participants.
Foster a safe, respectful work environment with focus on quality and risk management.
