Job summary

Lunda Construction Co. seeks a Design Build Project Manager in Rosemount, MN, to lead planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for major civil projects. The role reports to the Regional Manager and focuses on delivering projects on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in project management with DB and heavy civil experience, strong communication, and leadership abilities. Travel may be required; US work authorization is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant project management experience.
• 5+ years of Design Build project experience.
• Heavy civil construction experience preferred.
• Ability to travel.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.
• Manage project budgets and minimize exposure and risk on projects.
• Ensure procurement and proposal development activities move according to schedule.
• Coordinate development of project work plans and revisions as needed.
• Perform constructability review.
• Communicate effectively with contractors and vendors responsible for completing various phases of work.
• Coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in projects, including owner, architect, consultants, contractors, and sub-contractors.
• Monitor/report the progress of construction activities and hold regular status meetings with clients.
• Maintain strict adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Inspect and review construction sites.
• Ensure project documents are compliant.
