Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join our Southwest-based team, supporting multi-state client projects and potentially traveling nationwide. You will help drive design-build initiatives, develop schedules, forecasts, and budgets, and manage costs from concept through closeout.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior staff, coordinating with architects and engineers, and delivering large, iconic projects valued at $30 million and above.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related.
• 0–5 years of experience managing construction projects, ideally design-build.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction principles, practices, and technology.
• Previous experience on a successful project management team.
• Ability to walk a job site, climb ladders, and scale multi-floor scaffolding.
• Ability to lift objects of at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Build client and subcontractor relationships.
• Team with Architects, Engineers, and Planners to create and manage a design schedule.
• Assist in the establishment of project forecasts and budgets.
• Manage costs.
• Accept responsibility for project execution.
• Mentor and develop Interns and new incoming project management staff.
