Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join our nationwide project teams and support design-build initiatives across multi-state locations. You will work at construction sites and coordinate with clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and planners to move projects from concept through closeout.

Responsibilities include building relationships, creating and managing design schedules, forecasting and budgeting, cost control, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related.
• 0 to 5 years of experience managing construction projects, ideally design-build.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction principles, practices, and technology.
• Previous experience on a successful project management team.
• Ability to walk a job site, climb ladders, and scale multi-floor scaffolding.
• Ability to lift objects of at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Build client and subcontractor relationships.
• Team with Architects, Engineers, and Planners to create and manage a design schedule.
• Assist in the establishment of project forecasts and budgets.
• Manage costs.
• Accept responsibility for project execution.
• Mentor and develop Interns and new incoming project management staff.
