Job summary

Mannik Smith Group is seeking a Design-Build MOT Lead in Spokane, WA to manage MOT engineering teams on freeway, highway, and interchange projects. You will work with contractors to develop MOT schemes for pursuits and execution, guiding design and traffic plans with senior leadership.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in MOT/traffic control design, a PE license, and strong communication to coordinate with multiple discipline leads.

Qualifications

• PE license in UT/NV/AZ/ID/CO/NM/WA preferred.
• 10+ years leading MOT/traffic control designs.
• 3+ years DOT DB or PDB experience.
• Ability to lead teams and manage client relations.
• Excellent communication and scheduling skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead MOT engineering teams for transportation DB and/or PDB pursuits and projects.
• Coordinate with other discipline leads.
• Be an integral member of the project delivery team.
• Lead MOT design efforts.
• Collaborate with contractor partner to develop MOT schemes during pursuits and final traffic control plans.
• Utilize Microstation, OpenRoads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D; apply standard transportation engineering practices.
• Lead a team and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients.
• Be available for local and Rocky Mountain Region projects.
• Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and management; meet deadlines.
• Grow professionally by contributing to project designs and drawings aligned with client goals.
