Design‑Build Construction Specialist – Florida
Lead integrated project delivery efforts from preconstruction through execution, ensuring alignment between design and construction teams while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design‑build project delivery teams, integrating engineering, design, and construction disciplines.
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Oversee project planning, execution, and closeout to ensure successful delivery.
- Facilitate collaboration between design and construction teams to optimize schedules, costs, and constructability.
- Provide constructability reviews and value engineering recommendations.
- Support development and execution of design‑build proposals and contracts.
- Manage construction activities, including contractor performance, compliance, and quality assurance.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and risk factors; implement corrective measures as needed.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication.
- Participate in business development efforts, including pursuits and interviews.
- Represent the firm in industry events and professional organizations.
Market Focus (Preferred)
- Aviation: airfield, terminal, or landside infrastructure projects.
- Vertical building projects and/or transportation, power or infrastructure programs.
Qualifications
- Florida Certified General Contractor (CGC) license (required).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and/or engineering project delivery.
- Demonstrated experience managing design‑build projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, project controls, and contract administration.
Preferred Qualifications
- North Carolina Contractor license (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in aviation projects (airports, runways, terminals, support facilities).
- Background spanning both design and construction environments.
- Experience within an engineering consulting or design‑build firm.

Hourly Rate
$40.00 – $60.00 per hour based on experience, education, and/or certifications.
