Job summary

RQ Construction, LLC in Monterey, CA is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee all phases from planning to closeout, ensuring safe, efficient delivery aligned with our mission and values. The role emphasizes leadership of design-build projects for government and commercial clients, with a focus on meeting schedule, budget, and quality requirements.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in CM/Engineering or related field, 6+ years in construction with 2+ years managing projects, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent field experience may be considered
Minimum 2 years of experience managing commercial construction projects
At least 6 years of progressively responsible experience within the construction industry, including roles such as Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar positions
Prior experience with Design-Build projects preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience with construction software such as Primavera P3/P6, BIM platforms, Revit, and Viewpoint is advantageous
CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30 certifications required or ability to obtain shortly after hire; STS certification is beneficial
LEED Green Associate or LEED AP credentials are a plus

Responsibilities

Oversee all phases of construction—from planning and preconstruction through project closeout
Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company Mission, Vision, and Values
