Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is looking for a professional in Houston, TX, to plan, develop, and coordinate plant design and piping work for large projects. This role requires substantial expertise in design tools and engineering techniques.

The ideal candidate has significant experience with Autodesk BIM 360 and similar applications, along with a bachelor’s degree and up to 14 years of relevant work experience. The position involves part-time telework, requiring in-office attendance at least three days per week.

Qualifications

• Requires 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with design tool administration on large projects.
• Prior consulting experience in Autodesk BIM 360 or Hexagon S3D is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and select standard plant design and piping engineering methods.
• Develop design criteria for complex plant design and piping infrastructures.
• Analyze and report on unconventional materials and techniques.

Skills

Extensive experience as a design tool administration lead on large scale projects

Implementing Computer Aided 3D Design applications (e.g., Autodesk BIM 360, Hexagon S3D)

Visual Basic 6, Microsoft .NET, COM/.NET, Microsoft SQL server setup

Ability to work under pressure

Willingness to travel for business

Education

Bachelor's degree or international equivalent with relevant experience (8-10 years)
