Job summary

CLMI Group in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Design Associate to join our Talent Community. This role supports the planning, design, and construction of educational facility projects and helps prepare studies and presentations for internal review.

Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or planning and have five or more years of full-time professional experience in architecture and design, including work on educational facilities or similar public projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or planning from an accredited program.
• Minimum five years of full-time professional experience in architecture and design.
• At least three years in design/construction of educational facilities or public agencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and development staff with education facility projects.
• Support management of AE contracts and studies.
• Read and interpret architectural, engineering, and planning documents.
• Collect data for reports and presentations.
• Coordinate project activities with internal branches to support design and construction administration.
• Review plans for compliance with codes.
• Maintain project files with technical information.
• Participate in community relations to explain district projects.
