Support our highly collaborative architectural design studio in a fully integrated A&E practice to meet our clients’ ever‑changing needs and have a hand in transforming tomorrow. As a Design Architect in the Electronics Group, you will be an integral member of a highly creative, in‑house multi‑disciplinary team dedicated to innovative problem‑solving and design excellence. You will collaborate with teammates based throughout the country and the world, harnessing their expertise and specializations. You will support the design and construction of facilities and structures for our clients requiring advanced planning and building techniques.

Collaborating in our fast‑paced environment with other members of our team, you will work in all phases of design performing conceptual planning, oversee the development of design and layouts, and be engaged on detailed design tasks. You will oversee and partake in design and construction activities, leading design coordination across architecture and engineering disciplines. Working with our Semiconductor team architects and designers, you will help develop technical design solutions and lead the group to communicate design requirements in project drawings, specifications and models. You will be responsible for preparing studies and analyses, and leading design coordination across architecture and engineering disciplines. We are looking for individuals with leadership and expertise in the semiconductor industry. Project types include state‑of‑the‑art electronics manufacturing facilities, and cleanroom environments. This position requires broad and comprehensive expertise in architecture, and business strategies related to Microelectronics and related fields. Your role includes training and mentoring other members of the architecture team, being a resource to project leadership, and guiding team through exploration of detailed technical solutions. You will work in a design team in pre‑design and planning phases, and helping develop relationships, while meeting our clients’ ever‑changing needs.

Duties And Responsibilities

Under general supervision, competently perform all conventional aspects of architectural design and analysis.

  • Plan and conduct work requiring judgement and evaluation, selection and adaptation of architectural techniques and criteria.
  • Exercise sound judgement and problem‑solving skills, not hesitating to reach out to others for guidance or confirmation when questions arise.

Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control, including checking of others’ work.

  • Committed to checking your own work, reaching out to peers and seniors for guidance when questions arise.
  • Perform calculation checking of others’ work.

Be responsible for managing your workload, making, and keeping commitments, and taking ownership of your assigned work. Work in a timely, accurate, and cost‑effective manner with strong attention to detail.

Develop leadership and coaching skills.

  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and/or mentorship to designers and less experienced architects. Motivate and coordinate small to medium sized architecture teams.
  • Be proactive in advancing workflows, systems, and tools within the architectural discipline. Embrace emerging technologies.

On assigned projects.

  • Lead a team of designers responsible for an area of design in the technical design, construction drawings, specifications, and model creation.
  • Attend project meetings and take an active role to help team resolve concerns and solve problems across all disciplines.
  • Participate in and champion internal, cross‑discipline, and external project quality reviews.

Here’s What You’ll Need
  • Professional Architect license
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited Architectural program required.
  • 25+ years of experience required
  • Master Planning and Programming experience
  • Leadership skills to motivate and guide teams
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards
  • Leadership experience in all phases of design including Programming, Pre‑Design, Conceptual, Schematic, Design Development, and Construction Documents
  • Be a motivated self‑starter who is punctual, proactive, and attentive, with strong organizational skills.

  • Experience with Semiconductor facility design
  • Experience in long‑medium term project planning and directing the daily activities of a small team
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards
  • Desire to travel- up to 10%

The base salary range for this position is $144,700.00 to $253,300.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
