Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group in Pasadena, CA is seeking a Design Applications Engineer to join our engineering team. You will apply technical expertise to design and integrate connector solutions for challenging applications, collaborating with customers, sales engineers, and internal teams to meet performance goals.

The role covers product development, technical documentation, and field support. Travel up to 50% is required, and the position includes a strong benefits package and annual bonus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 2+ years of engineering experience in connectors/interconnect products or harsh environment applications.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel (air and car) up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and sales engineers to understand application requirements and develop optimal technical solutions.
• Review customer specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
• Recommend connector designs that meet customer performance and application requirements.
• Serve as the technical liaison throughout the design and development process.
• Design and develop new connector and interconnect solutions.
• Participate in design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Support engineering projects through prototype development, testing, and product qualification.
• Ensure designs meet customer, industry, and manufacturing requirements.
• Present technical concepts and design solutions to customers.
• Provide engineering support during customer meetings and industry trade shows.
• Assist in developing technical documentation and product literature.
• Represent the voice of the customer throughout product development.
• Partner with Product Management, Business Development, Manufacturing, and Process Engineering teams.
• Help identify emerging market opportunities and future product technologies.
• Support continuous product innovation and engineering improvements.
