Rock River Homes is seeking a Design and Selections Advisor to guide homeowners through the selections process and customize plans within a structured framework.

You will collaborate with customers, translate ideas into buildable drawings with the drafting team, and create thoughtful selections for spec homes. Strong design sense, spatial thinking, and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential interior design, plan development, or selections coordination.
• Confidence reading and making changes to floor plans.
• Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, 20/20 Design, Revit, or similar design software.
• Strong communication skills and customer service instincts.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and learning new platforms like ThreadKore.
• A collaborative spirit and a steady, professional presence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to guide them through the selections process using company standards and tools
• Customize our existing plans by making approved changes based on customer needs and your design expertise
• Visualize and explain spatial changes clearly, both internally and to customers
• Work with the drafting team to translate customer ideas into clear, buildable drawings
• Create selections for spec homes that align with our brand and design style
• Document all decisions accurately and use our ERP system, ThreadKore, to keep everything organized and communicated across departments
• Support customers with common sense solutions- offering alternatives when needed and knowing when to say no with professionalism

Design and Selections Advisor

Bring great design to life- within a clear, creative framework.

Are you someone who loves design but also thrives when there's a plan in place? Can you visualize changes to a floor plan-and then explain it clearly to a customer? Do you enjoy helping people make confident choices, all while keeping things on track?

At Rock River Homes, we're looking for a Design and Selections Advisor who can balance design creativity with structure and good judgment. You'll guide homeowners through the selections process and help shape their home through smart, approved plan modifications. No "anything goes" customs here - but plenty of opportunity to use your design brain to make each home feel personal, functional, and beautiful.

You'll also handle design selections for our inventory (spec) homes, helping us showcase thoughtful design even when no customer is involved.

What You'll Do:

What You Bring:
