Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a Senior Design and Analysis Engineer (Electronic Sys Design & Analy) to join our F/A-18 Mission Systems team in Berkely, MO.

This position is for a level-4 integration engineer to lead in the requirements, development and test for integrating new capabilities for the F/A-18 aircraft as part of the Advanced Mission Systems organization.

Responsibilities
  • Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
  • Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Oversees the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
  • Makes recommendations for technology investments.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • (Level 4) 9+ years of work related experience with a Bachelor’s or 7+ years with a Master’s or 4+ years with a PhD.
  • Experience with military avionics technology.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • Experience in developing or integrating Mission Systems for military aircraft.
  • Experience with electronic system design, code and test.
  • Experience in developing and executing test plans and test cases.
  • Experience with Multi-Level Security (MLS) implementation.
  • Experience using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) process.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Typical Education/Experience

Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
