Job summary

Boeing is seeking a contract-based engineer to develop and document moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements, and to design hardware, software, and interface specifications. You will test and validate designs and assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure proper system integration and compliance.

The role involves solving issues across the product lifecycle and researching applicable technology advances to benefit ongoing programs.

Qualifications

Job description

This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Designs hardware, software and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

Required Skill Sets
  • Familiar with configuration management
  • Experience with Hardware in the loop testing
  • Familiar with 1553 data bus and 429 data bus
  • Hardware auditing or audit processes
  • Willingness to support second shift on occasion (3 pm -12 am)
Pay Rate Range

52 - 57 USD hourly
