Job summary

APTIM is seeking a Grounds Laborer to perform lawn and grounds maintenance at Fort Irwin National Training Center. The role involves mowing, raking, weed abatement, tree trimming, planting, fertilizing, and related tasks per the PWS requirements, with a focus on outdoor environments.

Working conditions include extensive outdoor work, desert climate, and adherence to EHS procedures. Must be able to operate landscaping equipment and track work orders using electronic devices.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Working knowledge of landscaping equipment.
• Licenses: Must possess a valid California driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of labor tasks involved in the maintenance of facilities, street maintenance equipment and grounds at the Fort Irwin National Training Center.
• Labor tasks provided to assist trades people in the repair and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and grounds at the Fort Irwin National Training Center and occasionally the Barstow Dagget Airfield.
• Participation in all APTIM/HDSS EHS and Quality procedures.
• Must be able to act professionally in the presence of the public and co-workers.
• Must be able to accurately track time, work orders, and parts using electronic devices.
