Job summary

Anne Arundel Dermatology in Tampa, FL is seeking a full-time Histology Technician (HT/HTL ASCP) to join our dermatopathology laboratory. The Histotechnician handles tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, H&E, IHC, special stains, QC, and slide prep to support accurate dermatopathology diagnoses.

Schedule: Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with occasional rotation to 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Florida Histology license required; LIS and QC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• HT(ASCP) registered or eligible, or HS grad with 2 years histology experience.
• 2 years histology experience; 1–2 years preferred in histotechnology.
• Two years of special stain experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process tissues, embed blocks, microtomy, and H&E staining.
• Perform IHC and special stains according to protocol.
• Maintain LIS entries and quality control documentation.
• Collaborate with pathologists and staff to ensure timely diagnoses.
