Job summary

Apex Skin in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Dermatopathologist to join a physician-owned, physician-led dermatology group. Work alongside four dermatopathologists in a CAP-certified lab with a focus on clinical-pathologic collaboration.

Ideal candidates have dermatopathology fellowship training, Ohio licensure eligibility, and 2+ years of experience; fellows welcome. Attractive compensation, benefits, relocation support, and no weekends or on-call duties.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited residency in Dermatology or Pathology.
• Fellowship training in Dermatopathology.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatopathology.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatology or Pathology, as applicable.
• Current or eligibility for Ohio medical licensure.
• Two or more years of experience preferred; current dermatopathology fellows are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Interpret dermatopathology specimens and provide accurate, timely diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with dermatologists for clinicopathologic correlation and patient management.
• Maintain high diagnostic accuracy, quality assurance, and patient safety.
• Participate in laboratory quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate significant or complex findings to referring providers.
• Contribute to a collaborative team focused on diagnostic excellence.
