Animal Dermatology Clinic - Richmond is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with our dermatology specialists and technical staff to support patients and clients, ensuring high-quality care and communication.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience or training in a veterinary facility.
• Must be friendly, outgoing, “people oriented.”
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be capable of being cross-trained for front office receptionist duties; telephone and computer skills are necessary.
• Must be a team player willing to learn new techniques and accept change.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technical staff in patient care and procedures.
• Provide support to clients, schedule appointments, and manage front-desk tasks.
• Assist with treatments, restraining animals, and basic nursing duties as directed by clinicians.
• Record keeping and medication dispensing under supervision.
