The Territory Account Associate is an entry-level sales role responsible for executing the commercial strategy and building customer relationships within a designated territory. The role includes comprehensive training in sales, product knowledge, and market dynamics, along with participation in a mentorship program to support effective application of training. The position involves understanding opportunities and challenges in local payer and hospital environments, including formulary processes, discharge protocols, treatment algorithms, and disease management.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic territory business plans by identifying mutual priorities and leveraging insights across accounts to increase product demand and achieve outcomes.
  • Promote clinical discussions to motivate customer advocacy and collaborate with the account team to resolve barriers and meet customer needs.
  • Use expertise in market trends, competitors, and industry strategies to manage business opportunities and challenges effectively.
  • Conduct planning meetings with stakeholders to address customer issues and collaborate across departments.
  • Analyze market data to understand the local business landscape, engage customers, and lead virtual and in-person interactions.
  • Apply omni-channel strategies to maximize engagement through various channels, including in person and virtual interactions.
  • Work with regional colleagues and home-office teams to meet customer needs and support access.
  • Provide timely access support and collaborate with Patient Specialty Services to address customer requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, biotech, or similar sales roles within the last 5 years.
  • Strong collaboration skills, effective communication of clinical details, and a proven high-performance track record.
  • Proactive with analytical skills and a commitment to ethical practices and compliance.
  • Residency within the territory or within 50 miles; ability to travel 60-80% with a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in therapeutic groups, disease states, account management, and product launches.
  • Knowledge of patient services, market access, reimbursement, and medical calling on HCPs for sophisticated products.

Leveling Guidelines:

  • Level will be based on experience: Territory, Senior Territory, or Executive Territory Account Specialist.

Driving: Essential function. Must have a valid driver’s license. Accommodations available for medical restrictions.

Compensation: Salary ranges vary by level, with additional benefits including bonuses, stock units, and comprehensive health benefits. Final salary depends on experience, location, and performance.
