Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Dermatology Technician to provide clinical, surgical, and administrative support in an ambulatory dermatology setting. You will assist physicians, prepare rooms, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.

The role requires BLS CPR, dermatology clinic experience, sterile technique, and coordination of care including photography and post-procedure education. Work location is on-site within a busy clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification WA (MAC:WA) required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a practicing medical assistant in a dermatology or MOHS clinic/setting.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) certification.
• Current Association of Certified Dermatology Techs.
• Knowledge of radiation protection standards relevant to radiographic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical, surgical, and administrative support in ambulatory dermatology.
• Prepare exam rooms, maintain sterile technique, and assist in procedures and surgeries.
• Photograph patients for documentation of anatomical sites and locations.
• Assist in laser suite setup and patient preparation for laser treatments.
