New England Dermatology & Laser Center in Springfield, MA is seeking an experienced Surgical Medical Assistant to support a busy dermatology practice. You will room patients, document visits, take photos, and assist with procedures while upholding sterile technique.

A positive bedside manner and detail orientation are essential. Requirements include a High school diploma or GED and a Medical Assisting Certificate; dermatology/Mohs experience and RMA/CMA/CDT within 90 days are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assisting Certificate from an accredited program.
• Medical assisting experience required.
• Dermatology or Mohs experience and certification preferred.
• RMA, CMA or CDT certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and documenting visits.
• Taking before and after photos and assisting with procedures.
• Maintaining sterile field and administering injections.
• Assisting with suturing, wound care, and patient education.
• Scheduling, triage, calls, and office preparation.
