What You Will Achieve
The Health & Science Specialists are responsible for launching new products, managing business relationships, understanding formulary access, and promoting products within assigned accounts. They focus on sales efforts and relationship development with customers, including Therapeutic Area Specialists and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
Ideal candidates will possess strong customer, market, and business acumen, along with deep product and disease state knowledge. They should demonstrate excellent sales, promotional, and strategic business development skills, with expertise in both virtual and in-person customer engagement. Proficiency with digital tools and multi-platform communication is essential.
How You Will Achieve It
- Identify and implement effective virtual and in-person engagement strategies tailored to each customer, developing and executing comprehensive call plans that adapt based on insights.
- Build rapport and maintain relationships with customers across various environments, utilizing digital tools like Veeva Engage, Zoom, WebEx, and Microsoft Office, and quickly adopting new tools as they emerge.
- Deliver targeted, compliant messaging using approved materials to drive product demand, and provide insights to support the development of new messaging and resources.
- Educate providers on product value propositions using disease state knowledge and approved clinical information.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and office staff to plan engagements in multiple formats, ensuring alignment with customer preferences and compliance guidelines.
- Strategically deploy Pfizer resources such as samples, vouchers, and co-pay support to meet provider and patient needs, integrating guidance from management and support functions into planning.
- Support patient access by providing information on reimbursement, assistance programs, and co-pay resources.
- Present product terms and answer on-label questions proactively, introducing customers to Pfizer’s digital resources like the Galaxy portal.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (8+ years with associate’s degree, 10+ years with high school diploma)
- At least 3 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical sales/marketing experience, with demonstrated leadership and success in a specialized market involving reimbursement and service centers
- Strong territory management, communication, teamwork, leadership, and accountability skills
- Residence within 50 miles of the territory
- Valid US driver’s license with a compliant driving record
Nice-to-Have
- 3-5 years of specialty marketing/sales experience
- Knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products
- Deep understanding of customer segments and markets
- Strategic account management skills
- Proven ability to influence and support customers, excellent communication and leadership skills
- Adaptability to new working methods and environments
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and leverage resources
- Leadership and collaboration skills to drive performance
Work Environment & Other Details
- Willingness to travel within the territory, including overnight stays as needed

- Salary range: $121,000 - $217,000 plus quarterly sales incentives
