Responsibilities

• Fulfills the primary administrative support and non-clinical functions of a busy physician by scribing medical data into a paper or electronic medical record system.
• Documents the events and decision-making accurately in a manner that results in appropriate medical charting.
• Scribes also complete clerical activities necessary to assist with processing of physician orders for tests and medications.
• Charts patient encounters accurately and timely, including history, exams, results, consultations and prescriptions.
