Job summary

UCLA Outpatient Clinics is seeking a patient-focused Operations/Clinical Supervisor for the Dermatology Suites. You will supervise clinical staff, coordinate activities, and ensure regulatory compliance under the direction of the Operations Director, Clinical Chief, and Practice Manager.

This role requires liaising with physicians, patients, and staff, reporting status and results, and supporting nursing duties in Gen, Peds, and Surgical Dermatology.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising clinical staff and coordinating clinical activities.
• Knowledge of OSHA, JCAHO, and DHS regulations.
• Ability to provide patient health education and clinical instructions.
• Experience assisting physicians in dermatology procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all clinical activities and ensure smooth operations.
• Supervise clinical staff to maintain high-quality patient care.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (OSHA, JCAHO, DHS).
• Act as liaison among MDs, patients, families, schedulers, clinic staff and UCLA physicians.
• Provide up-to-date patient status and lab/procedure results to physicians and supervisors.
• Perform clinical nursing duties, including assisting physicians in dermatology procedures.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, triage calls and messages.
• Provide health education and procedure information to patients and families.
