Job summary

QualDerm Partners in Cookeville, TN seeks a compassionate Registered Radiation Therapist Technologist (RTT) to deliver Superficial Radiation Therapy in dermatology. You will operate SRT equipment, prepare rooms, educate patients, document activity, and uphold safety and regulatory standards.

The role involves collaboration with clinicians and staff to ensure efficient clinic workflow, high-quality care, and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program required.
• Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (RT(T)) required.
• Current state licensure, where applicable.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year radiation therapy experience preferred.
• Prior dermatology, oncology or superficial radiation therapy experience preferred.
• Experience in fast-paced outpatient or ambulatory settings preferred.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and treatment protocols.
• Ability to operate RTT equipment accurately and safely.
• Excellent interpersonal and patient communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer superficial radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the supervising physician and according to established treatment protocols.
• Prepare patients for treatment by reviewing plans, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
• Operate and maintain SRT equipment safely and effectively.
• Verify patient identity, treatment site, dosage, and physician orders prior to treatment.
• Monitor patients during treatment and report concerns to the provider.
• Document treatments and responses in the EMR.
• Maintain treatment records in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Perform routine quality assurance checks and assist with calibration/maintenance.
• Educate patients on treatment expectations, post-care, and follow-up.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to support clinic workflow.
