Job summary

The MedServ Group is seeking a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner for a part-time role to serve residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities. You will provide dermatology care, conduct exams, and create care plans, with compensation per patient or per hour. This role emphasizes compassionate care for the elderly and collaboration with physicians.

Typical schedule is 9AM–5PM with 7–8 hours of patient visits, 20–25 patients per visit, and malpractice insurance coverage provided by the employer.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid NP license to practice in NJ.
• Dermatology experience in clinics, hospitals, or nursing homes.
• Good communication with elderly patients and families.
• BCLS/ACLS certification required.
• DEA license to prescribe controlled substances.
• Experience supervising or coordinating staff is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and monitor patient health in elder care settings.
• Document medical histories, symptoms, and care plans.
• Order, administer, and interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
• Develop and adjust dermatology treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
• Oversee patient care and coordinate with nursing staff.
• Communicate health information clearly to patients and families.
• Ensure compliance with safety and clinical protocols.
