Job summary
Essen Health Care in New York is seeking a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced primary and specialty dermatology care. You will conduct exams, develop care plans, and prescribe medications as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements include NY NP license, 1 year dermatology experience, board certification, and bilingual Spanish is a plus. Experience with EMR systems and a commitment to serving diverse communities are valued.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree required.
- Active New York NP license and at least 1 year of NP experience in Dermatology.
- New York Controlled Substance and DEA Registration.
- Board Certified.
- Specialization in Emergency Medicine / Family Practice / Acute Care.
- DOT, BLS, ACLS Preferred.
- Bilingual a plus — Spanish.
- Proven work experience as an NP in Derm.
- Knowledge of EMR Systems preferred.
Responsibilities
- Take medical histories.
- Perform physical exams, including skin cancer screening.
- Diagnose and treat skin conditions such as acne, eczema and rosacea.
- Order and interpret tests; perform biopsies, wide excisions, and cryotherapy.
- Develop treatment plans.
- Prescribe medication.
- Provide information about preventive care.
- Assist in Mohs surgeries and other cosmetic procedures.
