Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience; dermatology experience preferred but not required.
• Stable employment history with longevity in previous positions.
• Experience navigating claims denials, appeals, and insurance credentialing processes.

Responsibilities

• Accurately post charges and insurance payments.
• Efficiently manage claims denials, including appeals or refiling of claims.
• Draft letters to insurance companies as needed.
• Answer patient phone calls and speak to insurance companies about claims and issues.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-certifications for procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and billing documentation.
