QualDerm Partners in Valparaiso, IN is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support a busy dermatology team. In this hands-on role, you will help patients feel comfortable and informed while assisting providers with examinations, procedures, and charting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and 1–2 years of medical office experience; dermatology experience and Medical Assistant certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• 1–2 years of medical office experience (dermatology preferred).
• Medical Terminology knowledge.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for appointments, review medical histories and medications, and obtain vitals.
• Assist providers with examinations, in-office procedures, injections, and suture removal.
• Accurately document visits, treatments, and provider instructions in the EMR.
• Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms; sterilize instruments and maintain supplies.
• Coordinate patient communications, test results, prescriptions, referrals, and follow-ups.
• Prepare procedure documentation and log specimens with proper labeling.
• Protect patient privacy and support a collaborative team environment.

What You'll Do

• Assist providers with examinations, in-office procedures, injections, and suture removal as directed
• Accurately document patient visits, treatment information, and provider instructions in the electronic medical record
• Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms; sterilize instruments; and maintain clinical supplies and equipment
• Coordinate patient communications, test results, prescription requests, referrals, and follow-up appointments according to provider direction and practice protocols
• Prepare procedure documentation, confirm required consents, and accurately label and log specimens
• Protect patient privacy and contribute to a respectful, collaborative team environment

What You'll Bring

• Medical Assistant certification preferred
