QualDerm Partners in Brighton, MI is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our dermatology-focused team. You will prepare patients, assist physicians, perform basic lab tests, and maintain accurate records to ensure a smooth patient flow.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, MA certification preferred, and experience with EHR systems. You will educate patients on treatment plans and skincare, while upholding confidentiality in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; MA certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of dermatology terminology and practices.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic proficiency with EHR systems and general office software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
• Assist the physician during examinations and procedures, ensuring instruments are available.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage office communications.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and skincare practices.
• Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and stocked.
• May participate in supporting the clinic’s social media presence and community engagement.
