Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group in Freehold, NJ is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant. You will support physicians in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures, and manage patient flow and documentation within a fast-paced dermatology setting.

Responsibilities include room prep, patient instructions, inventory management, and ongoing training. A Dermatology/Healthcare background and EMR experience are preferred; compensation is hourly.

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Must be computer savvy; proficient with MS Word/Excel/Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Excellent patient relations and customer service.
• Open availability to work weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care.
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations and procedures.
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate next steps.
• Prep rooms before/after patients and check equipment at shift start.
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed.
• Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert management of low stock.
• Perform inventory and stock supplies/equipment as requested.
• Attend in-house training and continued education opportunities.
