Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a medical office as a medical assistant.
• Prior Dermatology and cosmetic experience is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent phone etiquette and professional appearance.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow provider instructions.
• Experience working with electronic medical records.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from the exam room and prepare the patient for examination.
• Enter complete medical histories and current medications into the chart.
• Assist the Physician/Provider by scribing notes in the patient’s medical record.
• Assist with biopsies, excisions, sutures, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens; notify patients of results; schedule follow-ups.
• Daily cleaning and organization of exam rooms and stocking supplies.
• Laboratory maintenance including cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
• Perform additional back-office duties as assigned.
