Job summary

QualDerm Partners in Livonia, MI seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant for a part-time role (20-29 hrs/week). You will prepare patients, support physicians during exams, and perform basic lab tasks, while maintaining confidential records and coordinating appointments.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, Medical Assistant certification is preferred, and experience with dermatology terminology and EHR systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Proven experience as Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and practices relevant to dermatology.
• Strong communication skills and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Proficient with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
• Assist the physician during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are available.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage office communications.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and skincare practices.
• Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
• Support clinic social media presence as directed.
