Job summary

QualDerm Partners in Livonia, MI is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for a part-time role (20–29 hrs/week). The position supports dermatology services, patient intake, and clinical workflows in a collaborative team environment.

You will take vital signs, assist physicians, manage records, and help educate patients on treatments while upholding privacy and accuracy in fast-paced settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar clinical role.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and dermatology practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients and staff.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic proficiency with EHR systems and general office software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
• Assist the physician during examinations and procedures, ensuring instruments are available.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
• Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage office communications.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and skincare practices.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
• May participate in supporting the clinic'ssocialmediapresence, including gathering content, sharing clinic-approved updates, and assisting with community engagement efforts as directed
