Job summary

QualDerm Partners in Pickerington, OH is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for a regular-part-time role (20-29 hrs/week). You will support physicians, prep patients, perform basic lab work, and help maintain confidential records in a dermatology-focused practice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and dermatology practices.
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients and staff.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic proficiency with EHR systems and general office software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
• Assist the physician during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are available.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage office communications.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and proper skincare practices.
• Ensure the examination rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
• May participate in supporting the clinic's social media presence, including gathering content, sharing clinic-approved updates, and assisting with community engagement efforts as directed.
