Job summary

Anne Arundel Dermatology in Annapolis, MD is hiring a part-time Medical Assistant to support physicians and providers in our outpatient dermatology clinic. The Medical Assistant will prepare procedure trays, ensure supplies for the department, and assist with patient care, including documenting vital signs and coordinating patient flow.

Ideal candidates completed a Medical Assistant program or CNA, are fluent in English, and proficient with EMR systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completed Medical Assistant program or CNA/pre-med track preferred.
• 1–2 years of medical assistant or related clinical experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Dermatology experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document intake.
• Obtain and record vital signs.
• Organize patient flow and assist with procedures.
• Prepare procedure trays and equipment.
• Assist providers with dermatology procedures.
• Document patient information in EMR and scribe notes.
• Maintain infection control and inventory of supplies.
• Ensure timely handling of calls, faxes and messages.
