Qualifications

• Dermatology experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Computer savvy; proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere for patients and providers.
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, and prior authorizations.
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate next steps.
• Prepare rooms and check equipment at start of shift; ensure proper working order.
• Provide pre-care and post-care instructions as needed.
• Monitor inventory; stock supplies and equipment as requested.
• Attend in-house trainings and continued education opportunities.
