Job summary

SSM Health’s Dermatology Clinic seeks an advocate for patient care who supports clinicians in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. As a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse based on credentials, you will help with patient exams, vital signs, and room preparation.

The role emphasizes hands-on patient care, accurate charting, and teamwork across a 40-hour week with a day schedule. Prior MA/LPN credentials and BLS are preferred to ensure safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or 10 years of work experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Additional state-specific education or training may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assists with treatments ordered by provider under supervision.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, records data.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examinations.
• Performs basic clerical duties such as answering phones and filing.
• Maintains supplies and a clean, orderly environment.
• Demonstrates alertness and safe work practices.
