Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of medical assistant experience, dermatology preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant certifications are strongly preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Skilled in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Advanced knowledge of dermatology procedures and best practices.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and update medical histories, visit reasons, and HPI.
• Assist with procedures: biopsies, surgeries, and cosmetic treatments (Botox, laser).
• Prepare for complex dermatology procedures and assist as needed.
• Log and transmit pathology orders; process prescription refills and prior authorizations.
• Operate specialized dermatology equipment and maintain supplies.
• Maintain infection control and ensure clean, stocked rooms.
