Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Medical Assistant IIs for the Dermatology group at the 02090 WFBMG University Group Practice in High Point. You will support patient care under physician supervision, including rooming, vitals, and basic lab tasks.

Minimum credentials include CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA family certifications and an accredited MA program; two years of clinical experience preferred. Schedule is 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with no holidays in this

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required.
• PEARS may be required within 1 year in select areas.
• Successful completion of Atrium Health’s competency assessment.
• Professional governance, safety coach, or vaccine coordination activities may be required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming and visit tasks: vitals, history, health maintenance, allergies, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT, CLIA waived tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines following medication rights.
• Other duties: refills, authorizations, scheduling, referrals.
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and supports team communication.
