Job summary

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery seeks a Hybrid Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative functions. You will greet patients, manage check-in/out, schedule, and assist with dermatologic procedures while maintaining EMR records and patient confidentiality.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service and dermatology exposure, CPR training or readiness to obtain it within four weeks, and a Medical Assistant credential or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• CPR certification strongly preferred or obtainable within four weeks.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care and customer service from check-in to check-out.
• greet patients and manage smooth patient flow through the office.
• Schedule appointments, answer phones, and assist with outreach and follow-up communications.
• Distribute forms, ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Check patients in/out and assist with daily office operations.
• Room patients and prepare them for examination and treatment.
• Obtain and document medical histories, vital signs, demographics, insurance, and dermatologic concerns.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.
• Assist providers with dermatologic procedures and patient care activities.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and skin care.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment per safety standards.
• Support clinic workflow by adapting to needs of patients, providers, and practice.
• Collaborate to deliver outstanding patient experience and protect confidentiality per HIPAA.
