Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Histotech to join a team of professionals at a well-known dermatology practice in Mason, Ohio. The role involves processing, embedding, cutting, staining, and quality control, with responsibilities including accessioning specimens and performing special stains.

Candidates should have ASCP HT certification or be registry eligible, plus a high school diploma and at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Current ASCP certification (HT) or registry eligible.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A minimum of one year experience in Embedding, Cutting, Staining, Special Stains, Troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Processing, embedding, cutting, staining and coverslipping.
• Accessioning all specimens along with other team members.
• Performing special stains, following protocols.
• Putting slides together with requisitions – double checking for accuracy.
• Cutting control slides.
• Quality control.
• Must adhere to all department protocols and procedures.
• Must be reliable, dependable and have an excellent attendance history.
• Must be a team player.
• Other duties as assigned.
