University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix - Department of Dermatology seeks a Vice Chair of Education in Dermatology to advance the educational mission. The role partners with department leadership and medical education offices to shape strategy, launch a new dermatology residency, and mentor faculty and trainees.

The position includes clinical work at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, with a potential for protected research time and startup funds for an active research program.

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD degree from an accredited institution.
• Board-certified in Dermatology; eligible for unrestricted AZ license.
• At least three years of education/administrative experience.
• Demonstrated track record of clinical excellence and scholarly activity.

Responsibilities

• Guide development and execution of the department's educational strategic plan.
• Establish and direct a new dermatology residency program.
• Mentor faculty and trainees; build collaborations with college, clinical and community stakeholders.
• Support clinical activities at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center with growing dermatology programs.
• Provide protected time for research and research start-up funding for eligible candidates.
