Qualifications

• Active CMA or CCMA credential required.
• Prior experience in dermatology, surgical, or specialty medical practice preferred.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
• Excellent communication and patient-facing interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a high-volume clinical environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist dermatologists and clinical staff with patient examinations and dermatological procedures
• Perform clinical intake duties including vital signs, medical history documentation, and chief complaint review
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper sterilization and stocking of supplies
• Administer medications, injections, and topical treatments as directed by the provider
• Support skin surgery procedures including biopsies, excisions, and wound care
• Document patient information accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
• Educate patients on treatment plans, skincare regimens, and post-procedure care instructions
• Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively between front and back office teams
