Job summary

The University of Arizona is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator III in the Dermatology department to lead multiple dermatology clinical trials and oversee regulatory documentation, patient coordination, and safety monitoring. The role requires close collaboration with the Principal Investigator to design protocols and ensure protocol adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience or equivalent.
• Experience in clinical research coordination in a university/academic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination and administration of multiple dermatology clinical trials, contracts, protocols and treatment plans, simultaneously.
• Work with the PI to design and develop clinical trial protocols.
• Independently prepare, coordinate, and maintain regulatory study documentation including IRB submissions and approvals.
• Participate in data management design and maintenance.
• Keep logs, track participants, and prepare study materials.
• Recruit and enroll participants, obtain consents and explain protocols.
• Develop education materials and training to patients and staff for safety and adherence.
• Coordinate study appointments, collect vitals, specimens, and monitor patient health.
• Conduct adverse event assessment and advise the PI.
• Ensure proper specimen handling and storage.
• Create source documents and SOPs; provide training.
• Coordinate sponsor monitor visits and audits.
• Lead and supervise two junior coordinators and oversee team coordination.
