Job summary

Qualifications

• MD/DO with dermatology residency and board eligibility or certification.
• Ability to obtain unrestricted SD licensure and DEA registration or eligibility.
• Experience in managing a wide range of skin conditions and performing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage inflammatory, infectious, autoimmune, and neoplastic skin disorders.
• Provide medical dermatology care for acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rosacea and infections.
• Diagnose and manage skin cancers and premalignant lesions.
• Perform biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and electrosurgery as privileges allow.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and cancer prevention.
• Develop evidence-based, individualized treatment plans and document timely clinical notes.
• Collaborate with primary care and specialists (oncology, rheumatology, allergy/immunology, plastic surgery).
• Supervise and educate residents, fellows, APs, or clinical staff as applicable.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiatives.

Job description

The Dermatologist provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care for patients with disorders of the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. This role focuses on evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic dermatologic conditions using evidence-based, patient-centered approaches in outpatient and/or inpatient settings as applicable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of dermatologic conditions including inflammatory, infectious, autoimmune, and neoplastic skin disorders
• Provide medical dermatology care for conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rosacea, and skin infections
• Diagnose and manage skin cancers and premalignant lesions
• Perform dermatologic procedures consistent with training and privileges, such as biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and electrosurgery
• Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medication use, and skin cancer prevention
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists such as oncology, rheumatology, allergy/immunology, and plastic surgery
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiatives
• Supervise and educate residents, fellows, advanced practice providers, or clinical staff as applicable
• Comply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Dermatology residency program
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Dermatology
• Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
• DEA registration or eligibility
