The Department of Dermatology at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale/Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking a board certified or board eligible dermatologist for an open position in the Division of Medical Dermatology.
Mayo Clinic provides cutting-edge dermatologic care in a multidisciplinary, collaborative setting that consistently prioritizes the needs of our patients, particularly those with complex and serious dermatologic conditions. The position offers extensive opportunities for resident teaching, development of specialty clinics, and involvement in clinical and translational research initiatives.
Our academic practice supports a broad range of experiences, including education, research, administration, committee service, and interdisciplinary clinical collaboration.
Our dynamic team currently includes 13 consultant dermatologists, including fellowship-trained specialists: 2 Mohs surgeons, 3 dermatopathologists, and 1 cosmetic dermatologist. The department also includes 6 residents and a dedicated team of nurses and support staff. The primary clinical site is located in Scottsdale, with a secondary clinic and inpatient consult service in Phoenix, located 13 miles apart.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates must hold an MD or DO degree, be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Arizona and have completed an ACGME-accredited dermatology residency program. Candidates must be board-certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Dermatology. We seek individuals with a strong interest in academic dermatology, particularly in complex medical dermatology and resident education. The ideal candidate would be eligible for appointment at the academic rank of Assistant or Associate Professor and demonstrate a commitment to clinical excellence, teaching, and scholarly activity.
