Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals South Brooklyn Health in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a Dermatologist to provide comprehensive skin care including cancer screenings, inpatient consultations, and skin disease evaluation. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, use patient histories, and perform skin surgeries as needed.

The role involves educating patients on sun protection and skin health, mentoring residents and medical students, and coordinating with specialists.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Dermatology residency.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology.
• New York Medical License.

Wages and Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $337,000*(board eligible); $347,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $501,372** (board eligible) and $512,372** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $90,672.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
• Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
